Our infant classrooms at the Learning Academy of Sarasota are warm and inviting  spaces created with the intent of nurturing security, growth and development. Our  enthusiastic and responsive teachers are specially trained to work with babies from  birth to 12 months along with their families and caregivers to create supporting  environments. Along with our wonderful teachers, our classrooms offer large, safe  spaces, created with all areas of development in mind. We provide appropriate  challenges for all abilities and developmentally appropriate materials and experiences  for each child.

Toddlers have many opportunities to physically explore their world inside the  classroom and on the playground. They also begin more structured activities, such as  learning centers and circle time. Your toddler will begin learning more complex  concepts and vocabulary and be challenged appropriately in all domains of  development. Our staff understands the challenges that toddlers face in a social learning  setting and have experience in helping them adjust to the classroom environment. It is  important to us to establish a strong relationship with families and be able to foster that  relationship in the classroom.

At the Learning Academy of Sarasota our preschool program combines  developmentally appropriate and challenging learning experiences along with  structured play in a fun, safe and nurturing environment. We set the stage and assist  children in discovery, exploration and learning to their fullest potential. Our enthusiastic teachers genuinely care about children and understand each child’s  individual developmental needs and learning styles. They take the time to help each  child discover, in his or her own way, a fascinating world of play and learning. We  look forward to working with families to create a bond that fosters learning  experiences and relationships that cross the paths of home and school.

At the Learning Academy of Sarasota, our VPK program combines developmentally appropriate and  challenging learning experiences along with structured play in a fun, safe and nurturing environment.  We set the stage and assist children in discovery, exploration and learning to their fullest potential.  Our program is designed to prepare your child for entry to kindergarten readiness across the board in  all areas of development including academic readiness to social emotional preparedness. Our enthusiastic teachers genuinely care about children and understand each child’s individual  developmental needs and learning styles. They take the time to help each child discover, in his or her  own way, a fascinating world of play and learning. We look forward to working with families to create  a bond that fosters learning experiences and relationships that cross the paths of home and school. Just like every other classroom at the Learning Academy, our lesson plans are based on Florida State  Standards and a scientific based curriculum. Assessments and screenings are conducted regularly as  suggested by the state. In addition to the regular assessment in every other classroom, VPK  assessment are conducted 3 times per year to ensure the VPK standards are progressing.
